AusAID, the Australian Development Agency, recently published its report of the Australian Multilateral Assessment (AMA). This report includes analysis of the findings of the AMA; summaries of all 42 organisations the AMA covered; and a recommendation for an on-going multilateral assessment system for the Australian aid program.
The summary assessments contained in this report are supported by full assessments for each of the 42 organisations covered by the AMA. The findings of these assessments and the AMA report provide comprehensive evidence of the effectiveness of the Australian aid program’s multilateral partners and their relevance to Australia’s interests.
The review is quite critical of UNESCO, especially in terms of "cost and value consciousness", "strategic management and results" and "delivering results".
