After a decade of being hidden within storehouses at auction halls in Melbourne, Australia, a collection of 122 Greco-Roman artefacts is to return to Egypt.

Next week an archaeological mission led by Ahmed Mostafa, director general of the Retrieved Antiquities Department at the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), is to travel to Melbourne to receive the objects which are now at the Egyptian Embassy in Melbourne.

Mostafa told Ahram Online in a quick interview that the stolen objects seized in Melbourne range from miniature amulets to larger bronze statues
